Subject: Promotional Booklets
From: Barb Johnson

Hi,

I have one of your blank, promotional paperback books. It has two black and white lions growling on the front cover. My nine-year old daughter asked me if she could have it and she is now writing her own book. It really motivated her to write a longer story. That gave me an idea: I teach second grade and was wondering if you'd be willing to donate 24 of these for my class to use. I would really appreciate it! I think it would motivate the kids to write.

Thank you for your consideration!

Barb

A few weeks ago I picked up one of those promotional booklets/journals you put out--the blank book with the lions on the cover. That's a really neat idea.

I had a collection of scrap papers with notes on settings and commands for Linux, mySQL, and Perl. I bought some of those tab stickers and broke the booklet up into sections and transfered my notes to the booklet. I know it's only a blank book, but it's kind of like my own, personalized O'Reilly manual. It's a really neat idea. Since it was free, I wanted to say thanks.
